father time will you favor mine?
as I leave this town one last time
to a place that I can call the same
to a place where I'm unknown

father time, play your hand
and send me to a place where I know I can
where friends stay friends
to see each another year

father time you worked your ways
to make me regret, in later days
every other decision that I've made
college bond and on my way

father time, I see no reason
way you must twist and change my season
but I will return to that life
to the place that I've called the same

This poem was inspired by my fear that I will lose my best friend and all my friends once I'm out of high school.
