Music
Dear Music,
Oh how you amaze me,
Many times we need to lead,
With all of your different notes, you’re a’s and d’s.
You are a changing current in a river,
Or even the sound of arrows whistling from a quiver.
Oh how you amaze me,
You can play in jazz or rap,
Or even percussion with a tap tap tap.
I pity those who are deaf,
Because they can’t explore your amazing depth.
Oh how you amaze me,
Having your different instruments like the piano or cello,
Or even the sound of a voice saying “Hello!”
While all of your notes sit on the page with a beautiful stance,
I stand watching, oh-so entranced.
Oh how you amaze me,
As you go high and low,
I love listening to your beautiful tone.
Waves and seashells by the sea,
Can never compare to your beautiful scene.
Oh how you amaze me,
Even the simplest things can have you,
From the clanking of silverware the stomping of a shoe,
As I say good bye and you go away,
I won’t be worried because I’ll hear you everyday.
Oh how you amaze me.
