Depression Then Pride
Let’s say that there is this guy
in your school
who you think is really cute.
You just try
to talk to him
but your feet stop in their tracks.
Well that was my
depression stage.
Just trying to figure out if I
was worth it or
if I was going to make a fool of myself.
Thinking that you are not good
enough is what girls struggle with
in their lives,
but that’s what makes us all human,
Well that’s just half the battle
of getting over
things like that.

Then when you go to talk
to him
what will he say or think?
Well I tried to play it
all out in my head
but it wasn’t exactly that clear.
You see what you want
to see
in your head,
but the only way to really know
is to speak up.

Now let’s say that he notices you
for the first time.
When he said “hey” to me
my heart dropped
and I got so excited that
I started to jump up
and down
screaming at the top
of my lungs.
Of course
that was when he walked away.

Now let’s say
that he notices you everyday after that.
Walking by him
seemed to be the best part of my day,
So take my advice
if you really like a guy
go for it
because sometimes they
don’t take the initiative to make
the first move
and then everyone in the situation
will never know the

"This will certify that the above work is completely original."
