Listening Again

Halfway here, halfway out. Looking in from a cloud. Comprehending but not acting, no recognition or reacting. I see them, they might see me, but in the end we cannot be together in the same plane. Only looking, watching, listening again.

I know you might have felt like I did when I wrote this. Pretty often, I feel like I'm just looking at the events in my life from another perspective. I feel like I'm looking at my life from outside myself, almost looking down. After working at a football game downtown, I was watching some of my friends play down on the turf, and I was high up in the stadium. I felt like I was separated from everything I'm trying to reach for in my life, and so I wrote.
