Midnight Desires

Under the midnight sky
Full of twinkling stars
Is where I lie.
In this grassy abyss
Full of forget-me-nots
In full blossom-
Beneath the willow tree
Its branches
Reaching to the moon.
A breeze rustles
Through the leaves,
Messing my hair.
Crickets sing their song
As I attempt to sing mine.
A star shoots past
And I watch attentively.
Oh what to wish
Upon this night's
Wishing star?
All I can imagine,
Is your dazzling smile
And soon I know
What I will wish
Tonight.
I wish to be naught but yours
Until we become
Shooting stars in the sky.
