What Once Stood Great

November 26, 2007

What once stood great,
Now broken and torn,
Its great stone walls,
Battered and worn.

Once a colossal giant,
Made of metal and stone,
Then the Grey Lady came,
And shattered it to the bone.

It now stands as a testament,
Of what is to come,
When nature sounds its war call,
And destroys what we call home.
