Without the pen the white tree remains a template without use, and it becomes barren.

I have lost
Giving up has its blessings
While standing has its shortcomings
And life has its ups, downs, and turn arounds

I have been to the Dark Side
Observed your anguish apathetically
As you cried
Thinking about how I lied

I have been to the Dark Side
The side that has no moral
No goal
Nor greater cause

I have been to the Dark side
The side that never forgets
Sits triumphantly as you succumb,
To Malicious allure, and devilish wits

I have been to the Dark side
I have watch as your heart crashed into oblivion
As I refuse to be lugubrious with you
While you try to find something honest, something true

I know what in the Dark lies
And although you could not believe your eyes
I stood paralyzed
Trying to alleviate your cries

A Hero has retreated
A Hero has left
Residue to Resonate
Incubate, and Dissipate

A Hero has taken his emblem
Set it on the shelf
Because he lost his pride wandering
How could I redeem myself?

Thank You. I've been trying to get Magged but I really don't understand how things work but I'm hoping that this is poem is a good candidate.

I really like this! I love how it tells a story and all the stanzas build up tension that culminates with the last stanza. It's very deep and you've given it a lot of thought! KEEP WRITING!
