Breathe life into me,
as you take my breath away.
Never has vulgarity seemed so pure,
never has something so bitter tasted
so sweet.
You hold within you a fire,
a fire no one sees but me
A fire that does not burn at the touch,
but merely heats
to a desired warmth and then disappears
onto heat the next cold and distant soul;
I know because I can feel it
numbing my icy heart, even when you are not near
that fire resides
around me like an aura
Created merely by the appreciation of your presence, this aura
is a testimony
to the invisible flames within
us all.
