Threshold to Heaven
Many things in this world are sweet,
Among them Death is the best.
Listening to birds as they tweet,
I can finally have my eternal rest.
The one thing about life I’ll miss is love.
And the one person with whom I could share it.
Like a beautifully white dove
I don’t think I could bear it.
Without my lover my life would’ve been boring.
Now she lay by my side waiting for the time.
Death was hovering then I felt I was soaring
The first thing I smelt as I left was that of Thyme.
The whiteness of Heaven was extremely bright.
I could see many others watching me.
I could also see the Master, oh what a great sight.
‘I have sent for thee.’ said He. I rejoiced because I could see.
