Lost In Time

November 27, 2007
By Cassandra Kaup, Bath, SD

I see him in the corner of my eye.
He’s watching me.
Very intently, pondering my face.
I stare back.
Very intently, memorizing his.
It’s as if we’re the only two in the room.
He quickly turns away.
I feel dizzy.
The whole world spinning.
Until he focuses on me again.
This time with a different face.
Longing, sadness, happiness.
All in one look.
I wonder what he sees.
When I look back at him.
