What do we see when we hear “hate”?
Violence, hostility, extreme dislike.
Violence- happens in an instant
Do you know your safe distance?
There’s always that absence.
Will you find your balance?
It’s a dispassionate fragrance.
You’ve got to have patience
Try to break the silence.
Hostility- and always angry
You can’t accept blandly
Taking it in coldly
Can you smell the daisy?
Dislike- and many alike
Giving, feeling lifelike
Riding your bike
Hoping you won’t see a psych
‘Cause he’s always snakelike
Like everyone but very unlike
Don’t try to hitchhike.
He may seem dreamlike
But you know he’s fringelike
