The Water
Deep in the water,
Drowning my hate.
So I can emerge clean,
Of my judgments and anger.
Filling my lungs with water,
That won’t save me more than any other person,
Who bleeds the same color.
Unprejudiced water which does not
Despise me, love me, care for me,
Only kills me.
Depriving me of air,
It greedily absorbs,
The hurt,
The hate,
But it is all of me.
Finally I am still,
I am lifeless but I am pure,
Ready to love the unwanted creature,
Who once dirtied my heart.
