Memories

November 6, 2007

Time fades into murky thought
Walking as if through a dream
Visiting those hallowed walls of my mind
To grasp at the hope that I might go back
To wonder at the corners I never found
The people I never met
The chances I never took
To long for things I know I can never have
Memories
Slipping farther and farther away from reality
Shadows dancing through the darkness
Whispering inaudible words
Foggy illusions of the best times
Memories
Shrouded in doubt
Masked by the present
Now sulking in the dimness of sincerity
Reality warped and twisted into
Nothing
but
Memories.
