A smile is the best disguise,

November 6, 2007

A smile is the best disguise,
to hide the hurt from prying eyes.
Words to say,
too disdainful.
Remembering is always,
just too painful.
Bite your toungue,
as time you bide.
Fight back tears,
as they fall inside.
Strangers see straight through your masquerade,
Your smile is overdone, overpalyed.
Yet the ones who are closest to your heart,
Haven't a clue that your falling apart.
