Imagining
Laying on the hammock,
watching the rain pour;
Thinking of you,
wanting nothing more.
For you to be here,
cuddled into my side;
Laying so close together,
there is no divide.
To feel your soft hands
wrapped around my waist.
Gentle, cautious, and warm;
carefully paced.
To gaze
into your deep, expressive eyes,
Knowing from then on
we’re done with goodbyes.
As the rain lightens,
a rainbow appears
And with the rain
goes all my fears.
