The Insolent Man

Wisdom ne'er yields to the insolent man
Time's precious insights will ne'er know rebirth
Prophets seldom seek the ignorant damned

While petulants sleep, profound secrets ran
And vagrants slowly inherit the earth
Wisdom ne'er yields to the insolent man

When man's pitiful overthrows destroy land
The one who cries, a seer, has fled, made dearth
Prophets seldom seek the ignorant damned

Mirrors can merely show skin, not élan
Ignorance thrives in the absence of mirth
Wisdom ne'er yields to the insolent man

Their knowledge runs deeper than the blue ocean
But wasted on those who know not it's girth
Prophets seldom seek the ignorant damned

What's life when viewed through the eyes of a dead man?
And who opens the doors to those who have no self worth?
Wisdom ne'er yields to the insolent man
Prophets seldom seek the ignorant damned
