Why do the Whites get new books?
And give them to the colored.
It’s not fair because everyone is equal,
It’s not fair because they almost get nothing.

It’s not fair to that colored boy,
It’s not fair that teenage girl.
It’s not fair to that teacher,
It’s not fair to the world.

Why do people think Whites deserve better?
Why, Jim Crow why?
People are made to be equal.
Colored people deserve new books.
