NHL’s Outdoor Game

January 1, Yankee Stadium hosts the NHL’s next Winter Classic outdoor game.
At first, the Detroit Redwings would be hosting the Blackhawks,
Now it doesn’t seem like a good idea.
The NHL has come up with the idea of having the Rangers host the Boston Bruins.
This will be the final sporting event at the current Yankee Stadium.

The Stadium must be winterized.
For example: if the plumbing couldn’t be counted on to perform in subfreezing temperatures, thousands of portable bathrooms would have to be set up.

NBC has no interest in having two New York – area teams play the game.
But neither the Islanders nor the Devils will react well when they’re told that they have to stand Aside from all of this;
When the Rangers carry the NHL’s New York banner into a memorable event.
