Rejected the cane
And the seeing eye dog
For the fear
Of being
Beaten up.
Not able to pick up
The change that he dropped.
He said theses are the disabilities
Which people suffer
From.
It’s not just a physical
disability.
It’s how they make you
Feel.
An infection as an infant cost him
His sight.
A loss of total sight in his left
And limited
Vision
In his right eye.
He says it’s only been
A while since he’s been
Comfortable being blind.
