The person that walks besides you
is most likely your best and truest friend
they're always around you,
without really being there
when they walk out of your life
for a guy that you dislike,
you feel a pinge of guilt
for not staying by their side
when you walk down the hall
without so much as a nod,
but the week before you talked everyday
you can't help but feel things will never be the same
