I Don't Give A Damn

I like being held by you,
You’re so gentle and protective,
I don’t think you know what you do,
Your charm is so effective.

I will admit to seeing major stars,
When you press your lips to my forehead,
You seem to melt away all my scars,
No matter where I am I want to be with you instead.

I feel like such a teenage girl,
When I catch myself thinking of you,
You don’t know I’d choose you over the world,
I hope more than anything you’ll choose me too.

I know I’m not near perfect,
But you seem to love me as I am,
I can’t believe you had this effect,
As long as I have you I don’t give a damn.

I am a very bad poet, this was just an assignment for school when I was a freshman. I found it some time ago and had a good laugh, and decided to post it for the hell of it. I broke up with the guy this is about last week, after three years.
