(Sleep well) As the Moon Shines

Sleep well,
As the moon shines high,
A crystal ball of light,
That pierces the darkest of nights,
With illuminating light.
Sleep well
As the bright stars
Shoot across the sky,
But if you want to stay up,
And make a wish,
I won’t tell.
As you lie curled up,
In your bed and hold,
Your teddy bear tight,
I will give you a hug goodnight,
And as you drift to sleep,
May sweet dreams,
Fill your head.
Sleep well as the day becomes night,
As the moon comes out and shines,
In the unreachable cold night sky,
Sleep well and may all your dreams come true.
