Fear, pandemonium, trepidation.
It’s a lockdown.
“Code Brown, Code Brown” roars through the speakers.
“This is not a test. I repeat, this is not a test.”
Unaware, curious, apprehensive.
Kids scurrying,
Teachers yelling,
Doors locking,
Lights out.
Under your desk,
Curled up in the dark,
It’s a lockdown.
