Splintered Happiness

An unbreakable bond
Of different views
Turn it upside down
It’s just the way we are

Somewhere in the middle
Where the locks click
Confidence replaced by fear
Good-bye my angel dear

Splintered happiness
Thin ice
Silent scream
Left behind

The final act
Change
What you don’t know can’t hurt you
No what-if’s
Just live

The sweetest revenge
Is a life lived well
Say good-bye to fairy tales
Stay curious
Stay aware

Splintered happiness
Thin ice
Silent scream
Left behind

Letting go
Open up
The turning point
No day but today
Forgiving the unforgiveable
The day an angel was made

Smooth happiness
Skating through
Real smile
Ahead of time

I love the way she puts her feelings into this poem, she is so talented. Hope she continues to write more of them. Good luck, Mara!!!
