O Columbine

In Columbine, there were fifteen who died
For God, they made the greatest sacrifice
Their lives, which they faithfully laid aside
To not deny the things they oft cried.

O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time,
O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time.

In the library on that April day,
Students studied, they talked, they laughed, they laid
Plans for projects that would never be made
Because of the killers' tragic malay.

O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time,
O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time.

April 20, 1999
In Littleton, True innocence was list
Due to the thirteen lives that it had cost
To show the strength of those at Columbine.

O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time,
O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time.

Despite the tears which will n'er go away,
Though thirteen lights were extinguished that day,
Millions of lights lit from Maine to LA
Will keep alive the lights shot down that day.

O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time,
O Columbine, peace will heal thee in time.
