Life is like an ice cream, enjoy it before it melts.
Dosti mai no sorry, no thank you.

All new faces in the hallway,
As you try getting to your class straight away,
A feeling of lonleliness and solitude all around you,
That's because you are a Freshmen, all new.

Piles of homework making you feel tense,
Looking at a math problem that doesn't make sense,
Remembering all the golden days of middle school,
That's because you are a Freshmen, new in High school.

Getting to your classes is what you worry all night,
But don't you worry; things will get all right,
Right now, life is just a big mess,
That's because you are a Freshmen, no more, no less.

The author's comments:
Like all Freshmen new to High school, I was tense and worried. So, I wrote this poem depicting the fear of Freshmen, on the first day of school.

Ha! Well said! I especially like the last line; it finished the piece off quite nicely.

I know your pain very well.
