insights on me

My vacuum smells like army men
My shower smells like toes
I hate the sound of chalk but love
The feel of pantyhose
And stormy skies remind me of
Our old home's front door screen
For minds like mine reality
Is never what it seems

My vision now its been a year
Since anybody's checked it
But what they said they saw I saw
Wasn't what I'd expected
Cause blue clouds red foam and green stars
Are there when all else isn't
But white lab coats in swivel chairs
Never to me listened

See, ears like mine are so fine tuned
I'm listening all the while
I hear the screams tear silently Behind a woman's smile
When words are "Hi" and "How are you?
The sea currant is drifting."
I hear what's trying to be said is
"My life's not worth living."

For taste I'm not allowed to know
What deep-fried ice cream tastes like
But words cannot express to you
My truest deepest delight
When I see labels in the store
That seem were meant for me
Like "Gluten, Dairy, Egg and Lobster,
Tomato, Peanut-free

In smells I'm also limited
As everybody knows
A clog's a wooden shoe except
When it is up your nose
But I smell trouble, I smell fire
I smell something fishy too
And that is not at all because
Of the fishtanks in my room

I feel depressed, I feel too chilly
I feel we should move on
I feel for you my brother too
And not just cause you're warm
My feelings may be yet the closest
Thing I have to wisdom
But if I trust in them too much
I'll find destruction in them

Good thoughts! I like the lines "A clog's a wooden shoe except/When it is up your nose." xD Made me stop and think for a minute!
