Auschwitz
I sit here today and remember the past,
so the memories of there people will always last.
We all pray for things but have so much more,
but these people did not have much to live for.
Our ancestors, our families split up from each other,
a son and a daughter split up from their mother.
They all walked the same trail as we do,
but now we have a door we can leave through.
It is hard to imagine how someone could be so terrible,
to look at the gas chambers is almost unbearable.
To imagine a world where Jewish bodies lay in mud,
and this Earth upon we sit was covered in Jewish ashes and blood.
