Outside My Window
The smell of salt fills my lungs
I can taste it on my tongue
Lights begin to become blurry like the oceans bay
Grass begins to sway
To the wind that swirls
Around my curls
Sand that’s never in park
Light then dark
Arrives then leaves
Random shells or rocks that flee
Sun going to take a rest
Pinks, purples, blues, take over the west
Stars alight in the sky that darkens
The neon moon thickens
Waves wash against the shore
Blue ocean with sun reflecting leaves me wanting more
