Let us endeavour so to live that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry- Mark Twain

Once you can read the wings of a butterfly
As well as you can read the palms of a stranger
You know you have thought long and hard about your life
You realize who your friends are, and who is a danger
And who would save you when your back held a knife
You realize as you stare at the sky
In your arms, your true love
The one you plan to make your wife
That this is it, when the butterfly flies above
You know where you stand, and who’s on your side
Although in your life you have lied
You will always have your love and your best friend
God, I hope this never ends.

The author's comments:
I wrote this late at night, or rather early in the morning, while I was thinking about my girlfriend, who I am deeply in love with, and my bestfriend, who would really like to love her. I have come to the conclusion though, that he is my friend, and I can trust both of them, because she is my true love, and he like my brother. I have seen the wings of realization.
