She was once so innocent and sweet,
she could have had the world at her feet.
She was once so strong and so brave,
she once fought anything that came her way.
She was once a spirit immune to pain,
now she's crippled with a sadness insane.
She once gave love to all those alone,
and now she needs that love but all hearts have turned to stone.
She was once so bright, breezy, and free,
but now she is turned away and no one wants to see.
She was once so innocent and sweet.
Oh yes, she could have had the world at her feet.
