Dying to live for tomorrow

By , fayetteville, GA
I would be dying to live for tomorrow.
If tomorrow never comes;
I’m sorry if you called and I never responded,
I’m sorry if you beckoned and I never heeded,
I’m sorry if you advised and it was disregarded,
I’m sorry if you knocked and I hesitated to open.

I’m sorry because you cared and I never gave you a thought
I’m sorry because you loved me yet I loved you not,
I’m sorry because you died for me yet I lived not for you,
I’m sorry because you did it all yet I didn’t do all I had to
I am sorry if tomorrow never comes.

But I am glad today has already approached that
I can make it right with you, if tomorrow never comes.
If tomorrow never comes, we can share my today and
If tomorrow ever comes, I am sorry for my yesterdays
Since yesterday is gone, I keep living for today that
I may die to leave for tomorrow.
