When the Sky Falls

September 1, 2007
By Mary Kate George, Newtown, CT

When the Sky Falls The judgement happens And youÕll find That something, someoneÕs Left behind. That nothingÕs gone Away with fear NothingÕs changed At least, not here. But some day soon There has to be A day so fine ItÕs clear to see. A new wind blows, A world apart Sense the change A work of art. And when the dolphins Fly to shore And singing birds Will tweet no more. When days turn cold And nights turn steamy Day is fog And life is dreamy. When the world Stops to think And when thereÕs calm Forever more. The day when rampant Peace in all ThatÕs the day The sky will fall.
