Just Another Forgotten Fairytales
flitting like birds in sunbeams and dreams
 those golden yesterdays, hazy days
smiles and stars and your backyard
 whispers and dragonflies and skies
 and that old, twangy guitar
you hadn't the foggiest how to play

dreams never done and songs never sung
castles and dragons and old red wagons
serving as trusty steeds galloping through the weeds
my knight in shining armor with pride and honor
 with matching all star converse
bumping ankles as we fell and ran

 and ran

 and ran
