My Daddy

The Soldier My daddy was a soldier, In the war over in Iraq I said a prayer to God each day, To bring my daddy back Now Mommy tries hard not to cry, And Sister hides her tears, Because Daddy coming back this way, Was one of our greatest fears They all say how great he was, They go 'round dressed in black, But fond regrets and pretty words Wont bring my daddy back Everyone says he was a great guy, They say how hard he tried, But Daddy said hed come back safe, I guess that means he lied
