Whats wrong with America Is a dappled rose. Dappled in sunlight- golden Not the rose itself. But- The more intangible results Of its existence. Selfishness, in the form of Independence Self-fulfillment The pursuit of happiness But cant you see, Cant we see? That the rose is there Dappled in sunlight Not to take Not a goal or a dream or a deserved desire Its there to give. Isnt there someone For whom you want to give Dappled sunlight?
