Philly Heartbreak

October 28, 2007
By Rita Thanh Bucca, Philadelphia, PA

Does he love me I wonder
Did we ever mean a thing
This confusion is agony
My heart and soul succumbing to the painful memories
The late night talks
Pages of our history
A lifeless tree
Blood coursing through veins never meant to be
The Delaware River
On a December afternoon
Crystal clear and brisk
In over my head days, always will be missed
This forlorn heart on a rainy morning
Numbing the pain of addiction to you
