Stranger

Thoughts flow like rivers through my head
Twisting and turning until stopping dead
My heart is aching just to know you
I wonder how much they say is untrue.

Time came and stopped me the other day
At least it slightly took the pain away
Everyone was silent, silent as the night
I realize that our change was so bright
It could eat me away, just eat me away.

I could sit at the place in the grass
The biggest part of our pleasant past
But nothing could ever take me there
Even though I stay completely unaware.

Some of us stay, all the others move
And the rest of us have something to prove
As time goes on we all will change
And then things will even get more strange.
