Summer
thrives in the
souls of the children.
Anticipation of the balmy,
moist air, and the
sea-colored sky
attacks the
psyche of all minds,
young and old.
The wait is grueling,
while thoughts of
sandy beaches
and swimming pools
strangle your
last sane wits.
The final hours of school
drain away, feeling slower than
anything a child has ever
experienced.
It will be worth the wait.
