she sits there and takes it, the idiocy of others.
she sits there and takes it, the pressure and strain.

as people judge her, without really knowing her.
if only they knew her, perhaps they'd adore her.

through the mocking laughter, and crude jokes.
through the sarcastic smiles and pain.

as people judge her, without really knowing her.
if only they knew her, they'd surely adore her.

acting the act, to fit in; to earn acceptance.
acting the act, to move past others' disdain.

as people judge her, without really knowing her.
if only they knew her, who wouldn't adore her?

her parents don't get her, why isn't she perfect?
her parents don't get her, the things she contains.

but once you get to know her.
once you take the time.
you can't help but love her.
she's done no crime.

a loyal friend, yet few will know.
a charming companion, yet few will know.

as people judge her, without really knowing her.
if only they knew her, they too would adore her.

their callousness hurts her, the sensitive girl inside.
their callousness scars her, and to what gain?

as people judge her, without really knowing her.
if only they knew her, they'd truly adore her.
