Back to the Surface

I don't want to paint that cliche picture
With the tears that rolled down her face
I have no answers for her
She needs the strength in her heart
To replace the words everyone has told her
She will take the road that never let's her sleep
I find through her eyes, she feels alone
She stumbles, falls, and comes undone
Feeling like there is no longer a reason to embrace
Forced to be something she cannot be
She can only relate to the world of hate
Wants someone to help ease her pain
And bring her back up to the surface
She needs to break the smile that has never been shown before
I'll fade the dark and bring out the broken light
Brought to the edge, to stare at her fate
No more false dedications to put hope on
The sun will come through and warm her up
Staring back in the cracked mirror
She won't compete with the storm
And faith will be brought back into her eyes
