The smallest action.
The smallest pain.
Filled with MIGHT,
like the roar of a feline.
Worn by countless faces
overused..
overplayed..
At times used as a fake display
Smile..
they say
Smile..
What was once a small action
becomes necessary to go on living each day
Pain lies
behind these eyes..
Hidden by upturned corners
and glistening white snowflakes
"Click."
A perfect moment
"Click,click"
another, maybe two.
My world is spinning around me
but no one has a clue
This show I put on works like magic too!
I wonder if they noticed?
I wonder if they knew..
My eyes did not shine..
I was not amazed
The ten twenty-five my parents paid
just simply went down the drain
Smile...
they said
Smile..
and
so
I
DID.

Many people, such as myself hide our pain behind false smiles. I wrote this poem because its something I want to change about myself.
