the sun is setting
the leaves fall, a new season arrives.
there's a slight breeze outside.
its getting cold
i walk outside to feel the wind on my face.
i close my eyes and listen...
i live in a world with so much life around me.
but for that moment, i felt like the only one.
and for that instant, i picture myself in another place.
my sanctuary.
i go and sit on a bench and look up.
i can hear the birds chirp and sing.
my mind starts to wander.
life wouldn't seem so bad as a bird.
they get to see the world a whole different way.
so much i have yet to see.
people i have never met.
i open my eyes.
i go back inside...
back into reality...
