If write, a pencil will
And beam, the morning sun,
Then on, shall time go
as a soft, steady hum.
If soar, an eagle endlessly,
And burn, the mid-noon air,
Then on, shall time go
As a running mare.
If forever, will thee bore,
On and on until one dies,
Yet sleeplessly awakens,
Then ask me nothing more.
