Spring is to Me
Spring is to me the sky so blue,
The clouds of white,
The green grass sparkled with dew.
Spring is to me the sun's golden light,
A sprinkle of rain,
A nestling's first flight.
Spring is to me the green all around,
The smell of the flowers,
Pushing up through the ground.
Spring is to me the taste of joy,
As a mother finds,
In her newborn boy.
Spring is to me the feel of a breeze,
First blowing past me,
Then moving on through the trees.
Spring is to me the sounds of life,
From humans to animals,
Living without strife.
Spring is to me a new beginning and end,
The beginning of new life,
The problems of the past seem to amend.
