Flying high in the sky,
As you migrate saying bye!
Beautiful colors bright and light,
Soaring with all your might!

Your graceful wings flapping down,
Helping you land peacefully on the ground!
Curly antennas good for hearing,
So you can hear kids screaming!

You love to eat nectar that is yummy,
It also fills your tummy!
Even though your body underneath might be ugly,
You are so cute, short, and stubby!

Kids watching as you go away,
Only to come back in early May!
I will also watch and wait in awe for your arrival too,
Because I love to be with you!
