As the deer stepped out

As the deer stepped out

As the deer stepped out,
So majestic and free,
I couldn’t stop shivering,
My arrow will soon be free,

I pull my bow back,
Trying to stay steady,
A squirrel runs up the tree next to me,
Jumping from branch to branch,
Flying like an eagle across the sky,

Concentrating on its shoulder,
I release my arrow like a shot out of a gun,
My arrow flies like a jet hitting its spot,
Making the deer want to lay down,

Its like getting a new toy,
Your heart is pumping,
You want to jump for joy,
I love hunting.
