Staring out
into the darkness
I let it eat me
from the inside-out
It takes me away
to a place unknown here
But I know now
and I'd like to stay
It's a place that I can trust
It won't turn it's back
or abandon me
Not like they do
I'm safe here
I'm my own self
without hiding
anything from anyone
It's my place now
