Self-Sufficient
Alabaster and cobalt waves, attempt to find the ideal home.
They arc forward, cresting right before the plunge and…
nothing.
Nothing has happened,
the rise and fall of their anarchy has passed away, unnoticed.
Ascending once more they struggle to keep their heads above water.
Setting themselves up for disappointment they seize the stage, a vain performance.
Their goodbye is pathetic.
Like all the other ocean waves, they sink.
Beautiful blue lead balloons.
