The First Snow Fall
As we drive through the town
Up the slight mountain slope
I just keep looking down
Because I’m running out of hope
You see its Christmas eve
The ground is still quite green
And unless my eyes deceive
Santa won’t make his big scene
And as I glance out
The snow starts to fall
Its dancing about
And I know it will be a white Christmas after all
It’s the glistening snow
And the cold breeze on your ears
And the trees that are a glow
That makes this the best day of the year
And as I look out
I know the town is not dull
‘cause the kids who scream and shout
Because it’s the first real snow fall
